Virtual reality and hypnosis

reavirtuelle

Virtual Reality (VR) technology offers new opportunities for clinical research and intervention by creating a human testing and training multi-sensory 3D dynamic environment.

Although virtual reality is now well-documented and commonly used in commercial fields, scientific, and medical research; virtual reality combined with hypnosis is far from being as widespread as the distractive version of VR in the literature. The interest to join the two techniques in one therapy is to use a virtual movie to guide the patient as he is guided by hypnotic suggestions.

Our aim is to study how virtual reality combined to hypnosis can be implemented in clinical practice for different patients (chronic pain, intensive care, etc) by developing randomized-controlled design.
